After thinking I was done with CS for good I guess all I can say is all the people on forums and comments saying I would be back were right =P. I'm really excited about moving over to Plano, TX and getting the chance to play with these guys and represent EG at all the upcoming tournaments and online leagues. It's safe to say I've never been this motivated/excited about anything in CS before... If people said WEG was a once in a life time opportunity then I don't even know what that makes this. I have always wanted to try living abroad so this is a great opportunity for me personally & CS wise, and I'm sure we'll have an absolute blast!
As you can see we will have our work cut out for us quickly as we have CEVO playoffs coming up on Wed-Thu, ESWC Korea on 2-5th May and KODE5 Finals on 9-10th May. After that the team is flying to NYC for WCG US Open, and I'll tag along as a coach although I can't play due to nationality restrictions :(. Going to be fun finally getting to check out the big apple though, it's one of the cities that I've been dying to visit for a long time but just haven't had a chance yet.
I really can't wait for my flight to touch down in Dallas and start practicing with the team, I just hope I can learn the strats and spot names etc in time for CEVO playoffs already, and then incorporate some new stuff in time for the tournaments, but it will take some hard work. Tyler has already arrived at Danny's place where I'll be staying, Jordan is flying in on same day as I am, and Matt will come a couple of days before flying to Korea so we'll have our first bootcamp directly!
Moving itself hasn't really hit me yet I think, and it probably won't until I land over there or go to bed for the first time... I've been seeing a lot of my relatives and friends, and finally took the time to setup my account on Facebook so I can catch up with friends back home easier =P. I'd like to give huge thanks to all of EG's sponsors making this possible; Intel, SteelSeries, Peregrine, Kingston, NuclearFallout & Divo Networks! |
