It's Monday, February 1st, at 9 AM and I just woke up after a 12 hour marathon sleep session that was much needed after a couple days in Vegas. I spent the weekend with my friends Matt and Derrick (or as the gamers know them, PaTyoJoN and impulsive) and some of their friends.
Overall it was a pretty succesful trip. I paid for the entire thing with blackjack and Pai Gow poker earnings, went to bed around 8 am each day, and got to watch Derrick lose every sports bet he made. I even managed to get myself kicked out of a club on the first night, although it's much more innocent than it sounds. I was staring down at my phone texting someone and trying to walk into the men's bathroom but apparently missed my mark while not paying attention and ended up in the sink area of the women's restroom. The bouncer saw me in there, grabbed me, and while ignoring my attempt to explain the situation, kicked me out. I decided that I wasn't going to let that ruin my night though so I exited the hotel, went around the back, jumped a few fences, and walked back into the club through the pool area. Where there's a will, there's a way!
Those are the only Vegas stories I'm going to be sharing though because we all know the rule about Vegas trips.
With March approaching and the ESL and ESEA LAN finals in sight, we've been getting back into shape from our winter break. I feel that lately we've been playing well and I'm hoping we can keep that number 1 spot in the ESEA standings for the rest of the season. I'm also happy because it seems that teams have started to come back into practice mode here so we are finally able to get some good practice in rather than sitting around for hours trying to find a team to play against. We also start CEVO today and get to test out their new lineup (I definitely gave impulsive a hard time while we were in Vegas for being on our rival team now). It's going to be a good match and hopefully you guys all come and watch!
Still haven't thought of a cool way to sign off on these blogs, but I'll have one for next time I promise.
